Bolivia

In Bolivia, our missionaries are working with the national church organization (24 churches) in the areas of evangelism, church planting, youth, and leadership training. Ministries to the youth are being provided through three schools (K-12) where 1,800 students are receiving Christian-based education. A year-round camp and AWANA programs in the churches enhance the ministry with the youth.

Aimee Johnson

AimmeeAimee served as a short-term missionary under GMI in Montevideo, Uruguay, where she was able to work with two different children’s ministries, while taking Spanish lessons to better equip her for ministry there. In La Union, one neighborhood of Montevideo, she worked with kids 10-12 years old in AWANA. In La Teja, another neighborhood, she had her own classroom of those too young for AWANA, where she was kept busy teaching Bible stories and doing crafts with her little ones. Aimee returned to Uruguay after applying through the GMI board and served in Uruguay until just recently when she felt God calling her to change directions after visting the country of Bolivia. She is excited to be heading to Santa Cruz to be starting a ministry writing curriculum for the Sunday School, orphan ministries, and a children’s club ministry.

Dan and Mary Sue Reed

ReedsDan and Mary Sue have always been open to missions. They knew the Lord would lead them back into some area of ministry eventually. After Dan spent some time talking with Jerry and DeAnna Olson, he really started feeling a burden on his heart for the need in Bolivia. They always knew there was a need, but God really began laying that burden on their hearts. They, along with their children, are now serving their second term in Bolivia. They are currently involved in leadership training, evangelism, church planting, and encouraging pastors and wives and lay leaders in ministry. 1. Hello, we are moving to Santa Cruz Bolivia in June and I saw your post and was wondering if you are still in Santa Cruz Bolivia and if so maybe we could get connected.
I am married to a Bolivian man, which is part of why we are moving, but also because we feel God leading us to Bolivia.
At first it will just be myself and our 3 year old daughter and we are looking at Trinity International Church, but I saw you do AWANA and my daughter just finished her first year in cubbies, so maybe we could get her into AWANA with you and maybe I could help. I served as a missionary in Haiti and in Rome, Italy. I’m still working on my Spanish though.

Look forward to connecting with you.
