May 2015 – GMI Update

May 2015 Update
Of all the goals Grace Ministries International set when adopting Vision 2023 a little over two years ago, the goal to open eight new fields drives the rest. When we set out to nearly double the number of fields in ten years, we also created a need to greatly expand our missionary team recruiting both U.S. missionaries and missionaries from other parts of the world. As you pray that the Lord would meet the need for more missionaries to share His grace with the world, would you also pray the Lord would open doors leading us into new fields?  Last year we opened Bonaire and Nicaragua. In another week, Paraguay will become a new field when Alex and Deltha Gulart arrive there having spent the last six months sharing about their future ministry while here in the States.

Pray for wisdom and guidance as we take survey trips. Pray that God will provide contacts with whom we will be able to work to begin new ministries in new countries. Pray that the Lord will help us evaluate and determine what fields we should open next!

Scholarship Opportunities. As GMI considers missionary candidates, one of the requirements is that candidates have theological education.  In an effort to help potential missionaries meet this qualification, GMI is offering scholarships to study at Grace Bible College and the Berean Bible Institute. To learn more about these scholarship opportunities, click HERE. If you know someone who might be interested in these scholarships, please forward this link to them.
Many of you have been praying for GMI missionary John Cox as he undergoes cancer treatments. Last week John shared there was “75% shrinkage of all tumors,” and that the doctors, “have never seen this magnitude of decrease in that amount of time.” He will continue to undergo treatment until at least March 2016. Praise the Lord for this good report!
Your prayers and support enable GMI to send missionaries into the world to empower ministry leaders to share the gospel, plant churches, train and disciple others, and share God’s love through acts of mercy.  Thank you!
