WANTED: High school and college students to serve in villages ravaged by Typhoon Haiyan.

ImageThe government and churches have mobilized to bring relief to the affected villages. However, the rebuilding process will take several years. Twenty-one Grace churches were damaged by Typhoon Haiyan. Our Filipino brothers and sisters need help!

Help rebuild four Grace churches while also reaching out to their communities in the name of Christ!

Trip Dates: June 29 — July 16, 2014

June 29 — July 1 Boot camp at Grace Bible College

July 1 Travel to Cebu City, Philippines

July 16 Return to Grand Rapids, MI

Costs:                    

$850 EXITE fees (room & board, local transportation, boot camp costs, project donations, etc.)

$1,700 Estimated airfare

$2,550 Approximate TOTAL

Age: 14 years old (or 9th grade) — college

Qualifications: No prior construction experience required. You need to be willing to work hard together with a team in hot weather under rustic conditions, Enjoy the warm Filipino culture, delicious food and beautiful scenery. Experience great times of worship together with Christians from the churches affiliated with Things to Come Mission. Be ready to share your faith, step out of your comfort zone, and serve others in Christ’s name. Prepare to grow in your faith and see God at work in and through your team.
