EXITE 2011: Preparations

Our EXITE 2011 mission trip has officially begun! Here is a brief explanation of what EXITE is:

We have a teen missions program called EXITE. Grace Ministries International, Grace Bible College, and Grace Gospel Fellowship have joined together to present a unique cross-cultural missions experience for teens seeking to grow in their faith. This summer there will be a team going to San Jose, Costa Rica, to serve under the leadership of Chuck and Joy Befus and Jeremy and Andrea Clark. The team will be accompanied by experienced adult leaders and three GBC students with cross-cultural training and experience. The team will work with two churches in the San Jose area. We will participate in Kids Games, an outreach program that has served over 3 million children in more than 150 countries (for more info see KidsGames.com).

We will also do outreach events together with our brothers and sisters of the new church plant in the city of Alajuela. We will do community service projects in the neighborhoods of our churches in Belen and Alajuela, serving together with missionaries and believers from the host churches.

Our EXITE team is meeting tonight! Today through Friday, the team will participate in a “boot camp” preparing for the mission trip to Costa Rica. Please pray for the preparations and that the team will work well in bringing the Good News to Costa Ricans. During this trip, I will add updates, pictures, and prayer requests from the trip.

In Christ,
Rachel Kieda
