The Editor
Rachel Kieda is a Senior at Grace Bible College in the Intercultural Studies Degree Program. She was born and raised in the Greater Grand Rapids area. Being interested in missions at a young age, Rachel finally knew it was a possibility in her own life when her older brother, Aaron, went on mission trips to Bolivia and Peru (4 months and 7 months). In May 2009, she traveled with Aaron to Cotahuasi, Peru to serve with the Shaw Family. She served for 3 months and then started her junior year at Grace. After her Junior year, she attended the H.E.A.R.T. Institute for missionary training with friend, Britalia Slater, and immediately after that, the two of them traveled to Bolivia and Peru to serve. From June 2010 – January 2011, Rachel served mainly in Peru with the Shaw family, but also in Bolivia with the Olsons. After Rachel is done studying, she plans on eventually serving as a long-term missionary. Other than missions, she also enjoys photography, graphic design, writing, making movies, spending time with kids and youth, and of course, traveling.
