Chuck and Joy Befus

In Costa Rica, Chuck and Joy have been involved in establishing a full church ministry and three schools. At present, the church is a healthy body of 250 members. Chuck and Joy have recently been involved in a new church plant in Alajuela. The schools have been growing slowly with a current population of approximately 200 students. Chuck also teaches the Bible classes in the high school. Together Chuck and Joy counsel, visit, and teach a marriage course which begins with new couples (Christian and non-Christian) every four months. Joy has been involved in the women’s ministries and has headed up the junior high youth group. She has also been involved in AWANA and helps out in many other areas of ministry. Read more here.

Elnora Befus

Jeremy and Andrea Clark

Jeremy and Andrea Clark have been serving in Costa Rica since December of 2004. When they arrived on the field, they had one child, Berea Grace. Since then, Jason Lee and and Lydia Joy have been born in Costa Rica. Jeremy is the director of the Grace Bible Institute of Costa Rica which was established in January in 2006. He is also a professor in the institute teaching among other courses: Theology, Greek, Church History, Discipleship and English. Over 40 students per trimester attend the institute receiving training to be pastors, lay leaders and missionaries. Jeremy heads up the field’s missionary efforts to Nicaragua having led two teams there in the past two years. Jeremy and Andrea also lead the young adults ministry in their church.
